Child Care Program (CCDF)
The Delaware Nation Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program’s mission is to support families in finding safe, affordable, and high-quality childcare. The CCDF program is funded through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Through this program, we provide childcare assistance to families who meet our eligibility requirements.
Indian Child Welfare (ICW)
The Delaware Nation Indian Child Wlfare Program’s mission is to provide high-quality services while acting in the best interests of our children involved in child custody proceedings. The program is committed to supporting family reunification and advocating for the well-being of children and families.
In addition, our trained staff assists parents and guardians with a variety of supportive services on an as needed basis
Child Protection Services (CPS)
Child Protective Services (CPS) investigates reports of child abuse and neglect occurring on restricted trust property. CPS caseworkers work directly with children and their families and respond to referrals from a variety of community sources.
CPS staff follow up on referrals, conduct assessments or investigations as required, and make appropriate recommendations to The Delaware Nation ICW or legal authorities on behalf of tribal citizens.
