**Notice: If you have been impacted by the February 2021 Winter Storm and reside in an undeclared county, please report your damages with pictures immediately to www.damage.ok.gov Doing so helps additional counties get added to the Individual Assistance Declaration.**
On February 24, 2021 Oklahoma was approved for Declaration FEMA-4587-DR for the Severe Winter Storm during the incident period of February 8-20, 2021. This Declaration approved Public Assistance for 77 counties in Oklahoma. This Declaration also approved FEMA Individual Assistance for the following counties: Canadian, Carter, Cherokee, Comanche, Cotton, Hughes, Jefferson, Le Flore, McIntosh, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pittsburg, Stephens, Tulsa, and Wagoner.
- Public Assistance covers emergency work and repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities. This covers FEMA Category B, which will cover costs for emergency shelters and other emergency repairs that include Public Emergency Protective Measures such as repair of public water lines.
- FEMA Individuals and Households Program (IHP) provides financial and direct services to eligible individuals and households affected by a disaster, who have uninsured or under-insured necessary expenses and serious needs. IHP assistance is not a substitute for insurance and cannot compensate for all losses caused by a disaster. The assistance is intended to meet your basic needs and supplement disaster recovery efforts.
- Examples of significant damage include flooding and water damage inside the home from broken pipes, roof damage or roof collapse, major damage to HVAC systems and electrical systems, sewage backups, long-term water outages, or other issues.
- Additional IHP information can be found by following this link: https://www.fema.gov/assistance/individual/program
