CHICKASHA — On Saturday, December 6, 2019, Delaware Nation hosted the Annual Tribal Citizen Christmas Dinner at the Grady County Fairgrounds and Events Center in Chickasha, Oklahoma from 11am – 2pm. Family and friends joined together for holiday cheer, food, stories read by Santa, presents for the children, raffles for the adults and gift cards for the elders! We are very thankful for all who attended the dinner! A very special thanks to Swadley’s for catering the traditional dinner with us. Warm thanks to Linda Poolaw for opening the dinner with a prayer alongside all the children in attendance. We are so grateful for our elders and cherish their wisdom. Also, a very special thanks to Delaware Nation’s Cultural Preservation department, Executive Committee and employee volunteers for all of their hard work in making this year’s Tribal Christmas Dinner a huge success!
