Attention Delaware Nation Members NOTICE: CALL FOR SPECIAL ELECTION

October 20, 2023

Election Committee received a resolution setting the date of a Special Election and a Special General Council meeting to fill the Treasury vacancy. Special Election set for January 13, 2024. Pursuant to the Delaware Nation Election Ordinance and Constitution, a call for election will be issued within ten (10) business days, thereafter. The filing period will begin on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 8:00 A.M., and end on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 5 P. M.

Persons wishing to file as a candidate must do so by filing a Notice of Candidacy with the Delaware Nation Election Committee at P.O. Box 850 Anadarko, OK 73005. This must be postmarked during the ten (10) business day filing period to be considered eligible. Candidacy packets can be obtained at the Delaware Nation Administration building.

The office to be filled, the term of office, and the filing fee is as follows:

The above listed filing fee shall accompany the Candidacy Form with a

CASHIERS CHECK or MONEY ORDER (NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPETED)

made payable to The Delaware Nation Election Committee to be deposited by the Tribal Finance Officer into the Delaware Tribal Treasury.

ALL FILING FEES WILL BE NON-REFUNADBLE regardless of the election results or disqualification of candidates.
