**Delaware Nation citizens applying for assistance will need to ensure their current address listed on applications corresponds to the address on file with the Enrollment Department in order to receive services. If the addresses are not the same, the applicant will need to update their address with Enrollment before any assistance can be provided.**

2024 General Welfare Food Stipend Program
•PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This one-time assistance to tribal citizens 18years of age or older, provides a $300 General Welfare Food Stipend. This assistance is available to adult tribal citizens nationwide.

•APPLICATION PROCESS:
Please submit completed and signed application to the Delaware Nation Social Services Office.Completed applications will be processed in the order they are received. Please allow 10-14 days for a check to be issued and mailed once the application has been processed.

•REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:
A completed and signed application with a copy of your enrollment card.
•START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from February 19, 2024 and will remain open until September 30, 2024 (no exceptions).
•APPLICATION SUBMISSION: Applications can be obtained on the Delaware Nation website or by calling 405-247-2448 ext. 1141. The tribal citizen’s application with documentation may be submitted through one of the following:

  • PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This nationwide one-time application per household will pay up to $350.00 (while funding is available) to eligible tribal citizens who rent assist with electric, natural gas, propane, and/or water/sewer/trash utility bills.

    • APPLICATION PROCESS:

    Eligible tribal citizens 18 years to 59 years of age who have proof of renting for their primary residence must complete the attached application to qualify for this assistance. If proof of renting cannot be provided, the applicant will not be eligible for the assistance, no exceptions. There must be a balance due on bill. Payments will not be made that will add a credit to the utility account.

     

    • REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:

    A completed application with the following documentation:

    1. Copy of CDIB card
    2. Proof of Renting (i.e., lease with the tribal citizen’s name)
    3. Current utility bill or bills in the tribal citizen’s name matching the home’s address listed on lease (i.e. electric, gas, propane, water/sewer/trash) Internet and cellular bills are NOT eligible for assistance.

     

    • START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from June 17th, 2023 and will remain open until funding is expended.

     

    • REIMBURSEMENTS: No reimbursements will be paid.  Payments will be made to utility companies only.

    Delaware Nation is offering lawn mowing services to enrolled Delaware Nation elders during the summer
    months from May to August. To qualify for this service, a Delaware Nation elder must be 60 years of age
    or older on or before April 20,2026. Only the primary residence of the approved elder within a 40-mile
    radius of the Delaware Nation complex will receive this service. Addresses will be verified with the
    enrolment office. This service will be offered on a first come first served basis and applications must be
    submitted before 04/29/2026.

    All interested tribal elders will need to apply, even if services were
    provided in previous years. Preference will be given to the elders who are unable to care for their lawn
    maintenance due to physical limitations. After the first 15 elders have been approved, all other
    applications received will be placed on a waiting list. If an opening becomes available, the next person
    on the list will be notified. Upon approval, elders will be contacted, and dates will be scheduled. Due to
    the high volume of mowing and limited time available. All yards must be free of debris and any other
    objects that could damage any equipment. If debris is found the yard will not be cut until it is cleaned of
    all debris.

    S/G American Rescue Plan Act General Welfare
    Heating/Air Unit Repair or Replacement Assistance

    • PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This Self-Governance ARPA Program
    is a one-time submission to provide nation-wide tribal housing improvement for Heating/
    Air Unit repair or replacement up to $5,000.00 while funding is available.

    • APPLICATION PROCESS:
    Eligible tribal citizens 18 years and over who have proof of home ownership for their
    primary residence must complete the attached application to qualify for this assistance. If
    proof of home ownership cannot be provided, the applicant will not be eligible for the
    assistance, no exceptions. Once the application and required documents are received the
    vendors will have to be added to the Delaware Nation’s approved vendor list before
    payment can be processed.

    • REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:
    A completed application with the following documentation:
    1. Copy of CDIB card
    2. Proof of Homeownership (i.e., deed, title status report, legal document showing
    life time use)
    3. A current utility bill in the tribal citizen’s name with the home’s address
    4. One Invoice or one quote from a licensed HVAC vendor for amount of repair or
    replacement
    5. W-9 from the vendor

    • START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from June 1, 2021 and
    will remain open until funding is expended.

    • QUOTES: Quotes for new units or repairs totaling more than the $5,000.00 limit will
    require the tribal citizen to pay the overage prior to Delaware Nation’s payment.

    • REIMBURSEMENTS: Reimbursements for purchases from June 1, 2021 will be
    accepted with appropriate documentation (an invoice showing paid-in-full).

    • APPLICATION SUBMISSION: Applications can be obtained on the Delaware Nation
    website or by calling 405-480-2220. The tribal citizen’s application with documentation
    may be submitted through one of the following:
