The National Center for Women Veterans has a campaign outreach event specifically encouraging American Indian female Veterans to allow VA to photograph them for their National VA Women’ Veterans Outreach Campaign “I am Not Invisible”. Photo Shoot will be set up at the First Council Casino, Newkirk, OK, at the Chilocco Veterans Honor Dance, Friday, May 31st, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and at the Chilocco Veterans Breakfast, Saturday, June 1st, from 7:30am to 10:00am, to photograph any American Indian female who has served in the military interested in allowing their photo to be taken for this event. We highly encourage any and all American Indian females who have served in any capacity in the military to please come out to these two events and allow VA to photograph you on behalf of the National Center for Women Veterans. You may have your picture taken in your regalia or you may have your picture taken in whatever clothing you feel most comfortable in. We also ask (if at all possible) to please bring a photo of yourself in your military uniform as well. If anyone is interested in having their photo taken, contact Mary Culley at mary.culley@va.gov or 405-626-3426 so your name can be added to the photographer’ listing.
