Our staff will counsel, advocate and provide referrals for a tribal citizen’s expressed need and strive to enhance their quality of life while promoting self-sufficiency.

HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM | |
Description: | This program is for enrolled Delaware Nation citizens that are interested in obtaining an undergraduate (Associates or Bachelors) degree from an accredited institution. |
Award: | $3,000 (Pell eligible) and $6,000 (Pell ineligible) |

COLLEGE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | |
Description: | The program’s main focus is to offer financial support to a student needing transportation costs, books expenses, lab expense, food, or what is deemed necessary for the student to reach their academic goals. |

ADULT VOCATIONAL PROGRAM | |
Description: | This program is for Delaware enrolled citizens that need short-term training to obtain/enhance job skills or to acquire a General Education Diploma (GED). |

DIRECT EMPLOYMENT | |
Description: | Delaware Nation Direct Employment Assistance Program provides a small stipend to enrolled Delaware Tribal citizens that have gained new employment. The job must be a full time position. This is a one-time only assistance per fiscal year. |
Award: | Tribal citizens with dependents will receive $19 per day; tribal citizens without dependents will receive $16 per day. The stipend is for gas and lunches for work until first full paycheck is received. If uniforms and/or special tools are needed for new position this program can assist up to $300 (checks are made to vendor) |

TRIBAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | |
Description: | The Tribal Assistance Program application period begins October 1st and ends September 30th. This program operates on a first come first serve basis depending on availability of funds. All checks for utilities, glasses, hearing aids and dentures are made to the vendor. NO REIMBURSEMENTS will be made for purchases made prior to this application. |

LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP) | |
Description: | Delaware Nation Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) grant program assists with home heating or cooling bills and/or energy assistance twice a year. LIHEAP assists with cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Priority will be given to the elderly (60 and over), disabled, families with young children (5 and under), and homes with high energy burdens (10% or more). This program operates on a first come first serve basis until funds are exhausted. |

COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CSBG) | |
Description: | This small grant provides one elder activity and one youth activity once a year. |

Elders have a choice of:
The CSBG gives these items on a first come first serve basis. The youth activity is held usually the 1st or 2nd week in August during the American Indian Exposition in Anadarko, Oklahoma. The American Indian Exposition is a six day event that is held (Monday-Saturday). The Delaware Nation CSBG program purchases fair bracelets for enrolled Delaware children ages 3-12 years old that attend the American Indian Exposition carnival. The bracelets are given on a first come first serve basis. |
Burial Assistance Program | |
Description: |
Delaware Nation provides burial assistance for enrolled tribal citizens or those minors eligible to be enrolled (and not enrolled in any other tribe) up to $6,500.

Description: | This program is for enrolled Delaware citizens that need assistance with purchasing durable medical equipment and/or prescriptions that is not covered by Medicare, private insurance or Indian Health Services. This assistance will be available to tribal citizens once a year. This program WILL NOT pay for medical bills. |
