DNI is wholly owned by the Delaware Nation Tribe of Oklahoma. Today, the Delaware Nation works closely with the federal government of the United States. Delaware Nation has companies under the DNI umbrella that are experienced in providing professional and technical services including infrastructure services, information technology, engineering services, telecommunication solutions, and technical consulting services to our federal government customers.

DNI seeks a Summer 2019 intern to assist with communications for our growing company. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Candidate must be able to work 15-25 hours per week.

Under direct supervision of DNI’s Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), candidate performs various hands-on tasks and assignments for the organization’s professional and executive staff in such disciplines as marketing and communications with a focus on the following:
•Support content creation for social media accounts, including organizing cross-platform contentstrategies
•Develop new social media campaigns from the ground up, considering our clients’ needs and theirspecific industries
•Perform research into our clients’ industries and provide actionable tips and advice for expandingtheir reach in the digital space
•Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics

Primary Responsibilities:
•Draft social media posts
•Draft press releases
•Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
•Ability to interview business and technical professionals for content ideas
•Create content for newsletters
•Update current events section of website

Potential Secondary Responsibilities:
•Design marketing materials
•Design flyers and social media/website graphics
•Help prepare marketing campaigns and assist with the administration, shipping, and othermiscellaneous coordination of trade-show and event preparation via phone and email

•Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
•Experience with content creation a plus
•Ability to multi-task and take initiative
•Exceptional writing skills with understanding of writing for web
•Ability to learn and use appropriate language for the federal government and IT industries
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
•Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite and flowchart tools preferred but not required

Job Type: Internship
Salary: $15-18/per hour
•Must be actively pursuing a 4-year degree at an accredited university
