Lori Donise Kionute

Delaware Nation Princess 2021-2022

Delaware Nation Princess for the year 2020-2021 was Lori Donise Kionute, who is returning to honor Delaware Nation for the 2021-2022 reign.

She is the daughter of Leonard and LaDonna Kionute, granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lyman L. Kionute, Sr., and Thelma (Toho-Murrow) Kionute and Mr. and Mrs. Herschel and Carolyn Climer, great-granddaughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Jake and Ina Kionute, the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Christine (Shemaymy) Toho-Murrow.

This has been a year unlike any other to hold the title of Delaware Nation Tribal Princess. With the Pandemic in full force during the Powwow Season, Lori, unfortunately, did not have the opportunity to attend many gatherings as most were canceled for the safety and well-being of all. This was also the case for our mandatory scheduled events and classes that the Delaware Nation normally holds. However, through it all, Lori served the Delaware Nation to the best of her ability and in a pleasant and respectful manner.

We would like to express our most sincere gratitude to Lori and her family for representing the Delaware Nation and wish her well on her future journey, Wanìshi.
