**Delaware Nation citizens applying for assistance will need to ensure their current address listed on applications corresponds to the address on file with the Enrollment Department in order to receive services. If the addresses are not the same, the applicant will need to update their address with Enrollment before any assistance can be provided.**

2024 General Welfare Food Stipend Program
•PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This one-time assistance to tribal citizens 18years of age or older, provides a $300 General Welfare Food Stipend. This assistance is available to adult tribal citizens nationwide.

•APPLICATION PROCESS:
Please submit completed and signed application to the Delaware Nation Social Services Office.Completed applications will be processed in the order they are received. Please allow 10-14 days for a check to be issued and mailed once the application has been processed.

•REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:
A completed and signed application with a copy of your enrollment card.
•START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from February 19, 2024 and will remain open until September 30, 2024 (no exceptions).
•APPLICATION SUBMISSION: Applications can be obtained on the Delaware Nation website or by calling 405-247-2448 ext. 1141. The tribal citizen’s application with documentation may be submitted through one of the following:

Delaware Nation is offering lawn mowing services to enrolled Delaware Nation elders during the summer
months from May to August. To qualify for this service, a Delaware Nation elder must be 60 years of age
or older on or before April 20,2026. Only the primary residence of the approved elder within a 40-mile
radius of the Delaware Nation complex will receive this service. Addresses will be verified with the
enrolment office. This service will be offered on a first come first served basis and applications must be
submitted before 04/29/2026.

All interested tribal elders will need to apply, even if services were
provided in previous years. Preference will be given to the elders who are unable to care for their lawn
maintenance due to physical limitations. After the first 15 elders have been approved, all other
applications received will be placed on a waiting list. If an opening becomes available, the next person
on the list will be notified. Upon approval, elders will be contacted, and dates will be scheduled. Due to
the high volume of mowing and limited time available. All yards must be free of debris and any other
objects that could damage any equipment. If debris is found the yard will not be cut until it is cleaned of
all debris.

Delaware Nation received the above Order on May 9, 2022.  The Executive Committee met on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 to discuss timelines, programs and to make plans for Per Capita Distribution of these funds. 

Timeline:

• Appeal Period, 15 days from date of Order May 24, 2022

If the Order is not appealed:

• Pursuant to the RAED Plan, Per Capita Distribution in 45 days June 23, 2022
