The Delaware Nation ARPA General Welfare fund provides assistance in the amount of $250 to school aged children ages 4-17 years (grades: Pre K-12th) with the purchase of back-to-school clothing and school supplies. This funding is available on a first come first serve basis and eligible to Delaware Nation youth Nationwide.

General Welfare Program: Heating/Air Unit Repair or Replacement Assistance

**Delaware Nation citizens applying for assistance will need to ensure their current address listed on applications corresponds to the address on file with the Enrollment Department in order to receive services. If the addresses are not the same, the applicant will need to update their address with Enrollment before any assistance can be provided.**

  • PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This Self-Governance ARPA Program is a one-time submission to provide nation-wide tribal housing improvement for Heating/Air Unit repair or replacement up to $5,000.00 while funding is available.
  • APPLICATION PROCESS: Eligible tribal citizens 18 years and over who have proof of home ownership for their primary residence must complete the attached application to qualify for this assistance. If proof of home ownership cannot be provided, the applicant will not be eligible for the assistance, no exceptions.
  •  REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:A completed application with the following documentation:
    • Copy of CDIB card
    • Proof of Homeownership (i.e., deed, title status report, legal document showing life time use)
    • A current utility bill in the tribal citizen’s name with the home’s address
    • One Invoice or one quote from a licensed HVAC vendor for amount of repair or replacement
  •  START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from June 1, 2021 and will remain open until funding is expended.
  •  QUOTES: Quotes for new units or repairs totaling more than the $5,000.00 limit will require the tribal citizen to pay the overage prior to Delaware Nation’s payment.
  •  REIMBURSEMENTS: Reimbursements for purchases from June 1, 2021 will be accepted with appropriate documentation (an invoice showing paid-in-full).

General Welfare Program: Elder Home Fuel Assistance

If the addresses are not the same, the applicant will need to update their address with Enrollment before any assistance can be provided.**

  • PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This Self-Governance ARPA Program is a nation-wide elder assistance for home fuel up to $500.00 while funding is available. Home fuel includes propane, gas and electricity. Payments will be processed until the $500.00 limit is reached. This may require multiple billing cycles to be submitted if initial bill is less than $500.00.
  • APPLICATION PROCESS: Eligible tribal citizens 60 and over as of the date of application must provide proof of primary residence and complete the attached application to qualify for this assistance. If proof of primary residency cannot be provided, the applicant will not be eligible for the assistance, no exceptions.
  • REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:
    A completed application with the following documentation:
    • Copy of CDIB card
    • A current utility bill in the tribal citizen’s name with the home’s address as proof of primary residency
    • Monthly invoice, quote or bill from vendor for amount of home fuel cost
  • START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from January 3, 2022 and will remain open until funding is expended.
  • INVOICES: Invoices for home fuel that exceed the $500.00 limit will require the tribal citizen to pay the overage prior to Delaware Nation’s payment.
  • REIMBURSEMENTS: Reimbursements for purchases from June 1, 2021 will be accepted with appropriate documentation (a vendor invoice showing paid-in-full). Reimbursement will not be made for previous payments made by Delaware Nation or any other government/non-profit assistance program.

General Welfare Program: Emergency Household Water and Wastewater Needs Program

  • PURPOSE AND AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE: This Self-Governance ARPA Program is a nation-wide assistance for water/sewer services in need of repair, reconnection, new services, or past due balance at risk for disconnection. This is a one-time assistance up to $500.00 which can include reconnect fees and late charges. This program will be available until funding is expended.
  • START & DEADLINE DATES: This funding will be provided from January 3, 2022 and will remain open until funding is expended.
  • APPLICATION PROCESS: Eligible tribal citizens must provide proof of primary residence and complete the attached application to qualify for this assistance. If proof of primary residency cannot be provided, the applicant will not be eligible for the assistance, no exceptions.
  • REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR PROCESSING:
    A completed application with the following documentation:
    • Copy of CDIB card
    • A delinquent water/sewer utility bill indicating a cut-off notice or that service has been interrupted due to nonpayment or invoice showing cost of repairs to home water/sewer system. If applying for reimbursement a receipt must be included.
    • To prove primary residency, the bill must be in the tribal citizen’s name with the home’s address.

General Welfare Program: Elder Telehealth Assistance

If the addresses are not the same, the applicant will need to update their address with Enrollment before any assistance can be provided.**

  • PURPOSE:  This program will provide technology assistance funds for Tribal elders to participate in telehealth for needed medical visits.  Due to their vulnerability to the coronavirus and comorbidities that have been diagnosed by a physician, this assistance will provide elders a convenient way to meet with their physicians and limit potentially exposure to ill patients in an office setting. These funds will be available nation-wide to all eligible applicants as long as funds are available.
  • APPLICATION PROCESS: Applications can be obtained on the Delaware Nation website and may be submitted by email, fax or mailed to the Delaware Nation IT office. Any inconsistent or missing data may delay processing, and further action taken to process will require additional time before your request can be completed.
  • Application dates: June 7, 2021 to August 30, 2024 (while funding is available). Processing will begin once a completed application is received and verified.  Processing and shipping times may vary due to the availability of products and address of applicant. Elders will be notified of any delays by phone or email.
  • TYPE OF ASSISTANCE: This one-time assistance will provide an Apple iPad and compatible keyboard through our sole source vendor.  If the eligible applicant lives in Oklahoma the vendor will ship the iPad directly to the Tribal citizen.  If the eligible applicant lives outside the state of Oklahoma, the Delaware Nation will be responsible to ship the iPad to the Tribal Citizen.  A confirmation email will be sent to notify of date of shipment.
